A saying becomes a classic when it rings true over time. For example: The apple (that would be our Ann) doesn’t fall far from the tree (that would be her dad).
“Yes, my father was a financial advisor with his own firm. Part of growing up was learning the value of money—working for it and managing it.” When Ann came to Abacus, after an impressive 10+ year career in Washington, DC, she was drawn to the technical side of what we do. “I love an Excel spreadsheet.”
She still prizes her numbers. But goodbye, green eyeshades. “My vision has broadened to find joy in understanding, counseling, helping people. And that means getting to know, really know, them.”
