Opportunities
During your summer with abacus, we hope to give you in-depth exposure to the process of helping clients, make smart, financial decisions, training to improve your skillful, listening, and insights in the abacuses journey as a firm committed to its own financial integrity. You will work alongside a highly experienced team to develop industry and professional skills.
This is a paid internship.
Hands-On Experience
- Complete Client Financial Advisory Reviews: Work alongside three different certified financial planners during three separate meetings to complete client financial advisory reviews.
- Prepare Client Deliverables: You’ll help prepare client deliverables and prep for client meetings.
- Review Client Portfolios, Goals, and Reports: With the aid of three investment advisors during three separate meetings, you’ll review client’s portfolio design, unique structure per client’s goals, and learn our reporting process.
- Receive Career Insight and Advice: Discuss career paths, changes in the industry, and perspectives of their teams at Abacus with our Chief Investment Officer, Director of Financial Planning, head of Financial Planning Team, and founder and president of Abacus.
Training Sessions
You will participate in our intern training curriculum designed to give you exposure to the technical skills as well as the soft skills we utilize to best serve our clients.

Qualifications
Education
- Currently enrolled college student
Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Expected Availability
Interns are expected to work 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday.
