This is a paid internship.

Hands-On Experience

  • Complete Client Financial Advisory Reviews: Participate in trainings with Certified Financial Planners™ to prepare client reviews for upcoming meetings.
  • Prepare Client Deliverables: Assist with meeting preparation and create deliverables for client meetings.
  • Review Client Portfolios, Goals, and Reports: Review client’s portfolio design, unique structure per client’s goals, and learn our reporting process.
  • Receive Career Insight and Advice: Discuss career paths, changes in the industry, and perspectives of their teams at Abacus with our Chief Investment Officer, Director of Financial Planning, Head of Financial Planning Team, Founder, and Co-Presidents of Abacus.
  • Team Involvement: Participate in team meetings and gain exposure to the Financial Planning Team, Investment Advisory Team, and First Impressions Team (client service/operations).

Training Sessions

You will participate in our intern training curriculum designed to give you exposure to the technical skills as well as the interpersonal skills we utilize to best serve our clients.

Expected Availability

The Abacus summer intern program is a 10-week program that runs from early June to early August. We ask that candidates applying for this position be available for at least 8 of the 10-week program.
